Vendors Co-Lead / Public Policy Co-Lead

I immigrated to the US after getting married to an Iowan in 1992 . My husband Terry and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary. We both have 3 kids and 3 grandchildren who currently lives in the Philippines. .

I enjoyed living in the peaceful countryside, closer to nature and wildlife .

Being an established small business owner in the Philippines, my husband encouraged me to continue with it . Music 2 Link US is engaged in the production and marketing of musical shows and concerts both here and abroad . We also book performers and speakers to this day .

In my spare time I took an online paralegal course at the University of Phoenix. It was advantageous for me as I also do court and medical interpreting . It’s such a gratifying career to do it for people from the Philippines, to make sure they are heard and represented .

Years had passed and a friend convinced me to work for her at Delta Airlines at the Eastern Iowa Airport . That was then followed by employment in Los Angeles for United Airlines . I was hesitant at first , but yet as part of my benefits I should be able to fly back and forth every week to Iowa to be with my husband . While working for the Red Carpet Club of United Airlines in LAX , I still managed to do my music business as I was closer to the entertainment industry and took advantage of that . It opened a lot of doors for me and I have worked with various artists on my days off . Have done marketing / fundraising on several projects for non profit organizations which felt so rewarding . I was given another opportunity to venture into politics when I met one of the campaign staff of the former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. I was assigned to work in part of Los Angeles County .

I have had an expectation that something will really go well as we all worked hard for his victory.

After the September 11, 2001 attack on the US , I decided to go back to Iowa for good. Felt so loss after losing quite a few friends and coworkers. I just want to be back with my family and peaceful Iowa. I miss my family and friends .

This did not however stop me from being involved in politics back here in Iowa . Had worked for at least 5 Presidential candidates and several local candidates . Been involved in several non profit organizations too while still doing interpreting and my music business.
