Please Donate to the Robert D. Ray Asian Gardens

On Tuesday February 21st, 2017, a man took a sledge hammer to parts of the structures at the Robert D. Ray Asian Gardens. A link to the full vandalism story is at: KCCI

Development of the garden was spearheaded by the Chinese Cultural Center of America and funded by some of Iowa’s top corporate and community leaders. Currently, it is maintained by the Parks and Recreation department at the City of Des Moines.

This majestic structure is an iconic symbol that commemorates the influences and contributions of Asians in Iowa and a prominent feature of the Des Moines landscape and culture. We are reaching out to our state and community to come together to restore and preserve this unique landmark. Please specify your donation is for the Robert D. Ray Asian Gardens Restoration project.
